A bona fide legend in his native Brazil, Anderson Noise has leapt an epic 28 places this year - no doubt assisted by the influence of our sister publication DJmag Brazil, who've tirelessly championed the techno trooper. It's been a bumper 2008 for Noise, with productions galore and a mix compilation surfacing ('La Terrrazza - Atmospherical Fun Club') for arguably Barcelona's coolest club. "I very much enjoyed mixing a CD for the Spanish club La Terrrazza," he smiles. "It was also really good doing some EP releases for other labels such as Afu- Lab, Circle Music, Harthouse, Lo KiK, Noise Music and Pild Records." But the most pleasing moment for Anderson this year was hearing his son's debut vocal on wax, when their collaboration was used on a movie soundtrack. "The most special thing was to see my track 'Homem-Cachorro', which showcases my son's vocal, on the soundtrack of the film El Passado, directed by Hector Babenco," he affirms. Anderson has plenty of new projects waiting in the wings too, with the second volume of his documentary DVD, 'Brazilian Love Affair', due for release alongside new tracks for Harthouse, Lo Kik, and Noise Music.
